Our primary focus is on startups targeting Enterprise and B2B markets, particularly those working on the infrastructure layers of the tech stack. We have a strong affinity for founders innovating in areas such as enterprise computing, AI infrastructure, data infrastructure, developer tools, open source, security, collaboration infrastructure, automation, and fintech infrastructure. We always evaluate companies from the founder’s perspective. Our first meeting is typically a one-hour Zoom call with the founder to get an overview of the company and product. If available, we love to see a demo of the product. If we’re interested after this initial discussion, we’ll schedule a longer follow-up meeting to: - Meet your team - Dive deep into the product and technology stack - Discuss go-to-market strategy, customers, and competition - Explore how we can best support you and your company as investors If we decide not to move forward, we’ll let you know quickly and directly, as we value your time. Even if we don’t invest in your current round, we may still offer support or collaborate with you in the future.

Starting a new company is a challenging journey; we’ve been through it ourselves. At the Pre-seed stage, we typically collaborate with other investors and do not have a strong preference for leading rounds. At the Seed stage, however, we prefer to lead the rounds. That said, if we truly believe in what you're building, we'll find a way to collaborate and support your vision.

CF&E Investments Group invests in Pre-Seed, Seed, and a select few Series A stage companies. Many of our portfolio companies partnered with us without having raised prior capital. We enjoy collaborating closely with founders to grow and build companies together.

We prefer warm introductions from individuals we already know and trust, such as our portfolio founders and CEOs, investor friends, and former colleagues. We generally make two types of investments: 1. Pre-seed: Our investments typically range from US$300,000 to US$700,000 in early pre-seed rounds. 2. Seed: We invest between US$500,000 and US$5M, with our usual check size falling between US$2M and US$4M, often with a preference to lead seed rounds. We also typically participate in follow-on investments for each subsequent financing round, up to Series A.
